Sienna Nealon was a 17 year-old girl who had been held prisoner in her own house by her mother for twelve years. Then one day her mother vanished, and Sienna woke up to find two strange men in her home. On the run, unsure of who to turn to and discovering she possesses mysterious powers, Sienna finds herself pursued by a shadowy agency known as the Directorate and hunted by a vicious, bloodthirsty psychopath named Wolfe, each of which is determined to capture her for their own purposes...

This book was a slight hit and miss for me. It was probably the writing style although the storyline was good, I did feel like the writing style let it down.

I’m not sure what it was about the writing style that annoyed me. It might have been how robotic the description of all the fight scenes where or how annoying the main characters dialogue was; the jabs at other people. Either way it let it down. The book overall was a fast book but the writing sloppy.

The best thing about this book was that it was so action packed from start to finish that and it wasn’t so lengthy. It felt like everything was going all at one speed and never felt like it really slowed down and that’s a good thing when you get such an action packed book.

I am not completely sure what I thought about the characters but I can tell you right now that there are two I completely despise and for good reasons. They’re psychopaths and they creep me out.

The main character of this book was interesting to say the least and she made for a good read and a brilliant main character but some parts of her development really bugged me. I don’t want to spoil but being locked in a house for 12 years and not really talking to anyone should have left her shy but it didn’t and that really bugged me.

Overall I enjoyed this book and plan on continuing with the series because I need to know what happens next!
