Bound as one to love, honor, or burn.

Two years ago, Louise le Blanc fled her coven and took shelter in the city of Cesarine, forsaking all magic and living off whatever she could steal. There, witches like Lou are hunted. They are feared. And they are burned.

Sworn to the Church as a Chasseur, Reid Diggory has lived his life by one principle: thou shalt not suffer a witch to live. His path was never meant to cross with Lou's, but a wicked stunt forces them into an impossible union—holy matrimony.

The war between witches and Church is an ancient one, and Lou's most dangerous enemies bring a fate worse than fire. Unable to ignore her growing feelings, yet powerless to change what she is, a choice must be made.

And love makes fools of us all.

This book is soooo long, but I loved it.

It was so good and just pulled me into the story. The down side of this book being so long was it took me a lot of time to read it which just annoyed me because I just kept wanting to read it.

The title of the book was so clever. You must read the story to understand completely what I mean but it is cleverly titled, and I admire that.

The story was brilliantly written and just dragged me right through the story, it was amazing and perfect. With the book being as long as it is, I worried that I would get bored, but I didn’t. The story is just so amazing and secretive that you just keep reading to see where the story goes.

I absolutely loved the characters they just made the book even better. The way they are with each other, their personalities =, they just made the book even better.

I just totally fell in love with this book and cannot wait for the next one.
