Well I must say this question gets your mind thinking.
I am going to say no. Being a reader doesn’t make you a better employee. Taking the time to train for your job makes you a better employee.
I am an avid reader my partner not so much. If I went and did his job (electronics technician) I would have no idea what I’m doing and that’s because he’s spent years learning his job. Same would apply to him going into my job (office manager at a building company) he wouldn’t know how to do my job either.
So no. It doesn’t matter.
