Belly measures her life in summers. Everything good, everything magical happens between the months of June and August. Winters are simply a time to count the weeks until the next summer, a place away from the beach house, away from Susannah, and most importantly, away from Jeremiah and Conrad. They are the boys that Belly has known since her very first summer—they have been her brother figures, her crushes, and everything in between. But one summer, one terrible and wonderful summer, the more everything changes, the more it all ends up just the way it should have been all along.

This book isn’t my typical kind of book. I am not normally into just the romance type books but this one got my attention. I was drawn in by the title.

I mean come on. Belly has been going to this house with her mum every year since she was born. There are the brothers and their mum and she has known them forever and this is the summer that they finally notice her. Who doesn’t want to read that?

This book surprised me as to how much I enjoyed it especially considering the genre. But I like it. A lot.

I didn’t feel like it was a typical romance novel and that is what I enjoyed. Some of it was annoying though. The go with another guy to get the guy you like attention. Boring. And that is where it loses a star.

Overall, I liked the book. The ending annoyed me. What annoyed me was learning that it is a trilogy after reading the last chapter.
